Twilight Love – twinkling like the evening star!

The café in Kaza Valley was quiet, save for the occasional clink of cups and murmurs of distant chatter. The young Lieutenant sat by the windowpane, his coffee steaming before him. Watching local kids playing around the fresh snow of the last night, the shops & cafes are well lit with celebration lights & décor. Its Christmas after all!

The twilight sky outside was painted in hues of amber and purple, casting a warm glow on the rugged mountains.

He reached into his pocket and unfolded a worn handkerchief. It still carried a faint trace of Twilight Love, the attar his girlfriend had always worn. Musk and fruit decoction lingered softly, weaving memories of her laughter, of evenings spent under the deodar trees, of promises made and broken by time and duty.

He closed his eyes, the fragrance tugging at the edges of his solitude. She was gone, yet the scent brought her back, if only for a moment.

As the coffee cooled, the Lieutenant breathed deeply. In that fleeting twilight, he allowed himself the quiet ache of remembering. Their love-story will always be their shimmering & twinkling like the evening star under the western twilight!
